One of the defendants is accused of fourteen offenses and the second nine, committed between February and May 2024. A stormy start to the hearing
They are both well known to the police and the justice system. The first, aged 37, has 35 entries in his criminal record, half of which were when he was still a minor. The record of the other defendant, aged 43, contains 23 entries, the first of which was when he was also a minor.
In court, the start of the hearing is rather heated, with the two protagonists insulting each other in the box where they appear under arrest warrant, forcing the police escort to come forward.
The defendants generally recognize the facts, even if a few points oppose them. One of them specifies: “ I was in a bad situation, I didn't have anything to sleep or eat, that's why I had to take the flight. »

The prosecutor recalls that the two defendants are extremely well known to the courts and experienced in court proceedings. She deplores that despite this, they do not behave well and insult each other. “ Let's hope that the audience has an educational purpose so that we don't see them again. The lawyer for one of the defendants argues: “ You do not have sufficient evidence in the file to convict my client on three counts. He acknowledged the other facts and wishes to embark on the path to reintegration. »
The other defendant defends himself alone. He says he regrets what he did and apologizes to those who were robbed. “I stole just to survive. »
The court finds them guilty of all the acts with which they are accused. Mohamed Benchikh is sentenced to 3 years in prison. Mickaël Lefevre at 2 years old. Both with continued detention.
