This Friday, June 21, concerts are organized in Marseille, as everywhere in France, on the occasion of the 42nd music festival edition.

Rock, electro, classical music…Here are some events not to be missed.

Rock in La Plaine

On Place Jean Jaurès, commonly called La Plaine, nine free concerts of rock will be organized, highlighting young artists from the Marseille music scene.

The opportunity to take a trip to Notre-Dame du Mont and Cours Julien where a festive atmosphere will also be there.

Place des Canailles in celebration

From 19 hours, Place Canaille will be celebrating with the “Friday is Party” event. The people of Marseille will be able to dance to legendary hits ranging from the 90s to today, mixed by DJ Fred Set and Yann Sax. Before 8 p.m., entry is free.


Electro at Château d’If

The Les Jardins Suspended collective takes over the Château d’If, located on the Ile d’If, for a colorful electro evening. DJ Leo Pol will perform an exclusive live set of 3 hours.

To get there, special shuttles will be accessible from the Old Port.


The Conservatory at the Citadel

From 5:30 p.m., the Citadel comes alive in partnership with the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory and La Mesón. On the program: dance, chamber music, musical storytelling, flamenco ball and DJ set. The event is free, subject to gauge.


ABBA at Château de la Buzine

On the square in front of the Château de la Buzine, a special ABBA evening is organized from 7 p.m. before the broadcast, at 9 p.m., of the legendary musical Mamma Mia.
