Two teams from US Vals had a magnificent experience on the weekend of June 15 and 16 in Mende in Lozère. They participated for the first time in the national tournament organized by Avenir Foot Lozère. A tournament which brought together 24 teams in the U11 category and 31 teams in the U13 category, coming from all over France.

The two teams were preparing to face their opponents of the day while the many parents who had come to support their children were busy setting up arbors, tables, chairs, flags…

This weekend was an opportunity to share good times between families. The teams were accommodated on site and were able to enjoy a festive evening around a good meal and a crazy musical atmosphere. Waking up was hard on Sunday morning and from 9:30 a.m. we had to put on our crampons again for a day of football.

Sportingly, Saturday was organized in the form of a championship, while the second day concerned knockout matches. Throughout the tournament, the children proudly wore the club colors.

The U11s finished on the podium, in 3rd place, eliminated in the semi-final on penalties by the future winner of the competition Mougins (Alpes-Maritimes).

The U12s finished 8th after an interesting journey reaching the quarter-finals against Vesoul (Haute-Saône).
