Scottish club Glasgow Rangers are about to complete one of their first signings of the summer transfer window.

Scottish runners-up behind their historic rival Celtic Glasgow, Rangers are already hard at work for the transfer window. The Gers have almost hit the mark for a rookie, Hamza Igamane. At 21, the FAR Rabat striker, formidable “looser” (2nd) of Botola Pro 2023-2024, is preparing to leave his training club after five seasons for 58 professional matches, 16 goals and 8 assists on the clock.

According to several corroborating sources, the Military agreed to sell the center forward of the team Morocco U23 (6 caps, 2 goals) for a check of around 2 million euros. He will have his medical examination in the coming days. The length of his contract has not yet been revealed.

He was close to double

Winner of the Throne Cup in 2021, Igamane was close to a consecutive double in the championship after the first coronation won last year. Everything came down to the final day on Friday, when he saw the title escapes to the benefit of Raja Casablanca of Algerian Yousri Bouzok. And this, despite the victory of his team without him in the derby against FUS Rabat (2-0).

African U23 champion last year, Igamane will perhaps participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games football tournament scheduled from July 24 to August 9. In June, he was exempt from the match against the Belgian Espoirs team (2-2), given that it was a non-FIFA date, and that he was engaged in the home stretch with the FAR Rabat.
