RC Lens made its first recruit of the season official this Monday. Indeed, Hervé Koffi, whose arrival was no longer a secret, has signed up for the next 4 seasons with the Sang et Or.

An officialization certainly, but a transfer window which is still struggling to get started for the Lensois club, which will first have to downsize its workforce before recruiting. And for once, Euro 2024 which is currently taking place in Germany, does not help the new Lens general director, Pierre Dréossi.

Indeed, it is a safe bet that things will speed up after the competition. Among the departures desired by the Lensois board, there are notably Adam Buka, Kevin Danso and Elye Wahi who was recruited at a high price last summer and who is struggling to convince.

Concerning the young 21-year-old French striker, many wonder if RC Lens will succeed in limiting the damage. And for once, the coup carried out by the president of OM, Pablo Longoria, with Vitinha, offers a real glimmer of hope to Pierre Dréossi and Joseph Oughourlian.

Arriving in January 2023 at Olympique de Marseille for 27 million euros excluding bonuses, the Portuguese striker who has been ghostly for the last 18 months has still found a buyer. Indeed, Vitinha was definitively transferred to Genoa for €20M including bonus.

Considering the age and potential of Elye Wahi, we can legitimately think that clubs could put more than €25M on the table to recruit the former MHSC player.
