After almost 24 hours of disappearance, Ethan was found. The 11-year-old teenager left the family home in Gap this Saturday evening around 8:20 p.m. The family then notified the police and a call for witnesses was launched. Investigators were able to trace the teenager by viewing the city’s video surveillance cameras; he was seen around 9 p.m. on Saturday in the SNCF district. Police dogs were called for reinforcements, to no avail. Finally, Ethan was found in good health this Sunday around 6 p.m., at a residence near the Botanic and Decathlon stores. It was local residents who, following the call for witnesses relayed by the press, alerted the police. They had noticed the presence of the teenager near their residence since the morning. Heard by the investigators, Ethan would have explained having spent the night outside, “the reasons for his escape will be determined more precisely with the minor and his family”specifies the prosecutor of the Gap Public Prosecutor’s Office, Marion Lozac’hmeur.
