The suspense linked to the candidacies for the early legislative elections ended this Sunday, June 16, 2024 in the evening. Twenty-three candidates are in the running in Eure-et-Loir. Negotiations between political parties continued until the last moment. Discover the names of all the candidates, in Eure-et-Loir, but also in the constituencies of Rambouillet and Houdan, in Yvelines.

There are therefore twenty-three on the starting line, in Eure-et-Loir, compared to forty-three, in 2022.

The submission of candidacies for the first round of the early legislative elections was to take place at the prefecture this Sunday, June 16, 2024, until 6 p.m. State services in the department received applications until the last moment.

Since Emmanuel Macron’s announcement of the dissolution of the National Assembly on June 9, following the European election which resulted in a large success for the National Rally, the political parties have launched major maneuvers.

If in certain Eurelian constituencies, the choice of candidates was made simply and quickly, others were the scene of hesitation or harsh negotiations between certain political movements.

This is the case, in particular, in the third constituency (Nogent-le-Rotrou – Lucé), where Anna Stépanoff (Horizons) withdrew her candidacy, this Sunday, June 16, while the mayor of Nogent-le-Rotrou, Harold Huwart, presented his just before the closing.

In Dreux (second constituency), the outgoing deputy, Olivier Marleix (LR), will see, among others, a candidate from the presidential majority facing him. This is Florent Mazy, 24 years old. He belongs to Édouard Philippe’s Horizons party.

Updates in each of the four constituencies of Eure-et-Loir.
