Es-Semara – The 4th edition of the “Jawaher of the Sahara” Women’s Forum ended on Sunday evening in Es-Semara, after three days of exchanges and sharing around means capable of promoting the socio-economic conditions of women, particularly those from the southern provinces.
Placed under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this forum, organized by the “Nour” Association for the promotion of women and children, with the Union of Comoros as guest country of honor, was marked by the organization of several workshops and meetings aimed at supporting socio-economic empowerment and highlighting their skills in all areas.
The closing ceremony was punctuated by a vibrant tribute to women who have distinguished themselves through their actions and initiatives both at the regional and provincial level in the educational, associative, media, sporting and human rights fields.
This eclectic event was an opportunity for experts, university researchers, community activists and representatives of civil society to debate ways to improve the conditions of women and encourage their active participation in different areas.
Speaking on this occasion, the president of the “Nour” Association for the influence of women and children, Fatima Adli highlighted the good organization of this event which brought together women from all backgrounds to debate with clarity of the themes chosen.
In this context, this community activist noted that this forum was an opportunity for exchanges, meetings and debates to further promote the conditions of women in the southern provinces, which are asserting themselves as an essential link in development. local.
The program of this women’s forum, which coincides with the celebration of the Glorious Green March and Independence Day, included several activities including artistic exhibitions and visits to the craft complex and to historical monuments and rock carving sites of the province.
The participants in this forum also went to the local prison, the youth platform, and the Lalla Amina center for the protection of children in difficult situations, under the Moroccan Child Protection League.
This event was also marked by the organization of a “Poetry Tent”, enhanced by poetic readings and folkloric shows drawing on Hassani heritage, brilliantly performed by the artistic troupe “Amnat Aichata” from Guelmim.
