More the merrier, the merrier !

Golden rule of the second edition of the Color Run in Breuvannes, this Saturday June 15: don’t take yourself seriously! With nearly 1,700 participants, more than double last year, we have to believe that the population was very, very keen to let go.

It’s a real hit. A little more than 800 registered in 2023, almost 1,700 this Saturday: the Breuvannes Color Run shows its participants all the colors… and they like it! In this period of grayness and gloom, the event is timely.

“Colleagues said they were participating, we followed suit. Taking ourselves seriously is not really our thing, so we knew we were going to like it,” confirm Mireille and Christophe, who came from Biesles. In summary, the idea was the following: the more colorful they ended up, dirty as pigs, the happier they were! On a 5 km course accessible to all, family friendly since all the obstacles could be avoided, everyone had a great time.

Not taking yourself seriously was the main idea of the Breuvannes Color Run.

The ventriglisse at the start had set the tone, psychologically prepared for what was going on: yes, everyone was going to end up soaked, filthy and sprayed with particularly sticky colored powder. “That’s kind of the goal, we’re having a great time,” recalled a participant, who came from Monthureux-sur-Saône in the Vosges. “We even missed the Frappadingue in Lunéville this year to come here! »

The spirit of the Color Run? Go for it without thinking!

Bathe in mud, climb ropes, crawl through tunnels or climb bales of straw, the bravest will have done it all, and even accept receiving handfuls of powder slyly thrown here and there on the course. Worry spirits refrain, the idea was to let go and have fun without restriction, like a participant who jumped three times in the mud, somersault as a bonus.

This participant had bypassed the mud bath obstacle… before accidentally falling onto the next one. Oops !

The 60 volunteers mobilized around this major event can be proud. The work of Christophe Théveny, president of the ES Breuvannaise football club and his team was unanimous among the ranks of the participants. It’s hard to imagine, in these conditions, that we won’t be entitled to a third edition next year!
