Bye bye Switzerland is a documentary series produced by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SSR), the parent company of swissinfo.ch. The season’s six episodes follow the Schommers, the Waldburgers and the Caboussats during the first months of their new lives in a new country.

In each episode, the audience discovers the latest challenges and surprises faced by the three groups who emigrated: Dianne and Marco Schommer, from the canton of Solothurn, want to open a fitness club in Rwanda; Corinne and Ralf Waldburger leave Lake Constance for the Costa Blanca in Spain, to run a hotel for dogs; the Caboussat family leaves Emmental for Germany with the aim of transforming a former water tower on the North Sea into a 40 meter high café.

In the second episode of this series, the Schommers are looking for premises for their gym in Rwanda, but all the offers are too expensive. The Waldburgers settle into their new life in Spain and, on the North Sea, the Caboussats become closer to each other, because their new apartment is much smaller than their house in Emmental.
