The Win Sports School has been established in Mayenne since 2020. “There are 25 schools throughout France which are part of the Eduservices group”, explains Emmanuel Gentil, deputy director of the structure.

With 35 students the year it opened, the sports management school should reach around a hundred students at the start of the next school year. “The students are present for five years with a work-study program from the third year”, specifies the manager of Win Sport School.

Work-study students in professional clubs

According to Emmanuel Gentil, the success of the school can be explained in particular by the large number of practitioners and sports structures in Mayenne. “A recent survey places the department 3e at the national level, ratio to the number of licensees and inhabitants. »

The school has also focused on the quality of its trainers. “We work with qualified speakers who have real field experience in areas such as entrepreneurship and law. »

Mainly attended by young people from Mayen, the school supports students throughout the training and in particular to find internships during the first two years. “A training advisor prepares the CV and interviews with them”, underlines Emmanuel Gentil.

Some students interested in the professional world of sport obtain internships in renowned structures: “We have work-study students at PSG, but also at the Noisy-le-Grand Handball club for example. »

Olivier Frapolli, coach at Stade Lavallois, has been sponsor of the establishment for a year. “He came to meet the students to share his vision of sport and the project carried out by his club, it’s an opportunity for us,” rejoices Emmanuel Gentil.

Saturday June 15, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., open doors, 5, rue Marie-Curie in Changé (Laval student campus).
