A month since the abuses began. The daily lives of Caledonians have changed and, every day, new structures reopen. International and local flights are slowly resuming while health facilities are starting to operate again. Thursday June 13an exceptional collection of household waste will take place door to door at the following locations in the town:

  • Pointe à la Dorade
  • Pointe à la Luzerne

Residents are invited to take out their bin (orange cover) in the morning.

The temporary bins remain in place, until further notice, at the following collection points:

  • Katiramona, next to the sports hall
  • North voluntary intake platform, in front of the entrance
  • Parking at the Dumbéa regional aquatic center, Koutio swimming pool
  • ZAC Panda, opposite the Total station
  • Apogotinext to the Family Park
  • Païta
    The collection tour planned for this Wednesday concerns the Grand Tamoa, which could not be collected on Monday. From Thursday, the usual tours are planned to resume.

  • Mont-Dore
    Door-to-door collection planned for this Thursday, in La Coulée. Friday, in Yahoué, Pont-des-Français, Robinson, Boulari and Saint-Michel.
    Temporary skip at the launch of the Conception, Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon. La Coulée recycling center open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. “for voluntary contributions of household waste in closed bags only”.
  • Bourail
    Opening of the recycling center this Thursday and Friday at usual times.

Shops are reopening more and more but gas is still lacking in certain stations.

The weather conditions are no longer favorable for the navigation of maritime shuttles between Mont-Dore Sud and Nouméa.

The Department of Infrastructure, Topography and Land Transport (DITTT or DI3T) announces that it will reopen its doors this Thursday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Vallée-du-Tir, in Nouméa. Only services relating to driving licenses, registration certificates and transportation will be accessible. Technical inspection and driving license examination activities remain “suspended until further notice“.

The town of Païta, which was very marked by the violence, is reopening its premises and resuming its activity from this Wednesday. The main town hall is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. for the management, and for all services on Friday). The South province has reopened its CMS in Montravel, in Nouméa, and Dumbéa-sur-mer, for medical and PMI (maternal and child protection) consultations. They operate in the morning, from 9 a.m. to noon, more details here.

  • In Mont-Dore Sud, the BCI de la Coulée is not able to open this Thursday morning.
