From June 8 to 22, 2024, the “Célé ’té” event in the Célé valley “ organized by the Mixed union of the Célé Lot-median basinmoves along the Célé Riverof Figeac to Saint-Jean-Mirabel, passing through Brengues. The opportunity to better discover the river and raise awareness of water issues.

At the initiative of the Joint Union of the Célé Lot-median basin, “Célé ‘té en Vallée du Célé” is part of raising awareness among the general public of environmental issues linked to water. For Bernard Laborie, president of the Union, “This Célé ‘té festival, initiated in 2011 throughout the Célé basin, is an event that we wish to continue. This year, it takes place over two full days and three weekends, offering, thanks to the numerous institutional and associative partners involved, very different activities, debates, workshops, etc. During this fortnight, we will of course talk about management of aquatic environments. and flood prevention.

Open to all, young and old, the event offers numerous activities, walks, conferences, discoveries… From the Water Festival in Brengues, Saturday June 8, to “Célé ‘té à la Boucle de Listours” on Saturday June 22, to learn about, understand and act for the environment, water, rivers, and aquatic environments. From the Maison de la Châtaigne in Mourjou (Source of the Célé) to Sauliac-sur-Célé, via Figeac, a wide range of free activities is offered to the curious and loyal to Célé ‘té. During this festival, the Joint Union organizes days dedicated to the school public for schools in the area.

Among the few dates to remember on the program for “Célé ‘té en Vallée du Célé” 2024, there is the Water Festival, organized by the Piment Blanc association in Brengues (Saturday June 8/2 p.m.-midnight), a visit to the storm basin construction site and the drinking water treatment station of the City of Figeac (Monday June 10/2 p.m.), a night outing dedicated to amphibians at the Moulin du Fau in Maurs (Wednesday June 12/8:30 p.m.).

Also on offer, in the Roger Laval room in Figeac, is a conference on sustainable development objective no. 6, aimed at “guaranteeing access for all to water and sanitation and ensuring sustainable management of water resources” ( Thursday June 13/8:30 p.m.). Place de la Raison in Figeac, an evening combining theater and visual projection, entitled “La crie de rue verte” is hosted by the troupe Les Boudeuses, followed by the screening of “Je suis l’eau” (Saturday June 15/9 p.m. ). The Célé Lot-médian Joint Union invites a free screening of the documentary film “La rivière” at the Astrolabe Figeac cinema (Wednesday June 19/6 p.m.). Like last year, the fortnight ends with “Celebrity at the Boucle de Listours” in Saint-Jean-Mirabel (Saturday, June 22/12 p.m.-9 p.m.).

4th edition of The Water Festival in Brenges

As part of the “Célé’té en Vallée du Célé” event, the Piment Blanc association and its partners invite us on Saturday June 8 in Brengues, to celebrate water, to celebrate this resource, more threatened than ever. From 2 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., there are workshops, shows, readings, activities, walks, exhibitions, a round table, but also games, shows, and a festive evening to share… with a closing voice and sound projection. music on the piers of the Brengues bridge: “I am the water”.
In detail, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., you can enjoy activities such as canoe polo, creative and discovery workshops, co-creations, exhibitions, permanent screening space, book and relaxation area of ​​the Astromobile, the suitcase sound, plus the presence of stands from the Célé Lot-médian Mixed Union and the Causses du Quercy PNR.
At 3 p.m., space is given to the show “À l’eau” by Croisillons and company. At 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. there are reading times that question our relationship with water and nature. At 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., walks to the Brengues springs are organized. At 5 p.m., a round table, hosted by the community radio station Antenne d’Oc, in the presence of stakeholders in the water sector, will address “the lack of water today and tomorrow: what management between sobriety and innovation ? “.
At 6 p.m. a participatory stroll is planned (with the Messag’eau panels created in the workshop) and the inauguration of the giant Mobile, followed at 6:30 p.m. by a musical aperitif with Les Boccara. From 9 p.m., join us for a joyful pop-rock concert with The Walter Gun Project. The day ends at 11 p.m. with “I am water”, a nighttime projection with sound on the piers of the bridge (Carayac road).
