Thousands of revelers expected in this small village in Aude for a crazy weekend

On Friday June 7 and Saturday June 8, 2024, the small village of Montreal (Aude) will experience a incredible excitement. And for good reason, the 21^e edition of the festival « Bandas in Malepère » is planned for these two days.

Full class marching band

All day Saturday, different activities are planned. Each evening, the concerts will begin 7 p.m. and until 2 a.m..

For this new Bandas festival organized less than a month after the European Bandas festival in Condom (Gers), 8 companies from across the region were invited by the Aude organizers.

In recent years, a “ marching band class » had been established on Saturday afternoon. The idea is to allow amateur musicians to play the same musical tunes in public by having received the scores in the days preceding the Aude event.

For this 21st edition, the Fanfare class was in high demand. Three weeks before the festival, its organizers announced that “the registrations are closed and registration confirmations already sent”.

Considered one of the major musical events in the north of Aude every year, 9,000 curious people had participated in the 2023 edition. They should be as numerous or even more for this 2024 edition.

Camping on site

Thousands of festival-goers will flock over these two days to this small village of nearly 2000 inhabitants. No worries. Extensive free camping and accessible only for tents will be set up for this holiday weekend.
