Alternating traffic in Cahors and parking prohibited

As a result, traffic will be regulated by a manual alternation and parking will be prohibited from time to time as the work progresses.

These interventions are the realization of a mandate commitment made under the proximity competence exercised by the City for the benefit of the different neighborhoods of the city.

Secure pedestrian crossings

The City of Cahors has undertaken a program to secure pedestrian crossings. City services took advantage of the public lighting renewal program to provide pedestrian crossings with the implementation or improvement of directional lighting, LED technology and different colors to highlight the pedestrian crossing. The Terre-Rouge and Cabessut districts were thus treated.

Other processes have been used, this is the case for the Lacapelle district in particular, and more precisely on the Trespoux road; for the pedestrian crossing located in front of the conservatory, rue René-Villars, where it was carried out using cold coating marking for better longevity, with shark teeth and a strip of ocher nuggets to reinforce visibility. This was also the case around the Valentré bridge.

On the Cavaignac quay, 6 pedestrian crossings have been covered with cold coating and brought to PMR standards. The program continued with the treatment of Avenue du Maquis, Avenue du 8ème RI, Camp des Monges, Combe de Simèle, Avenue du 7ème RI and Côte des Ormeaux. On these axes, reinforced markings and the installation of reflectors whose blue color and flashing character reinforce the vigilance of motorists have been carried out.
