Imprisoned for corruption on March 21, after being arrested in the company of the clairvoyant Sophia Martinez, Gilles d’Ettore resigned from his functions as mayor of Agde and president of the Hérault Méditerranée agglomeration this Friday, May 31 by letter, writing to the prefecture of Hérault, which announces in a press release that this resignation is indeed effective.

Gilles d’Ettore had been mayor of Agde since 2001, and in the early days of his incarceration seemed to want to retain his elective functions, while the municipal opposition had demanded that he resign his responsibilities.
“His current situation appears to him to be detrimental to the institutions he governs”
“Gilles d’Ettore has devoted his life since 2001 to his citizens in Agatha and then to those of the agglomeration” further specifies Free Midday Me Jean-Marc Darrigade, his lawyer who has been assisting him since his arrest in this incredible affair which combines embezzlement, granting of undue advantages and esotericism.
“He has never stopped, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for more than twenty years, acting with the sole objective of serving their interests. His resignation is part of this logic. His current situation appears to him detrimental to the institutions he governs. He suffers from having been abused, he suffers from being deprived of his freedom, but he reiterates that this situation has never generated attacks on the interests of citizens.
Eleven people are indicted in this extraordinary investigation
The investigation carried out by the Montpellier PJ and the Agathois police established that the mayor had granted material and financial benefits to relatives of the clairvoyant Sophia Martinez, whom he consulted very regularly and called around ten times a day, in being convinced that she was in contact in the afterlife with the deceased father of the chosen one. The clairvoyant used her ventriloquist skills to pose as a supernatural creature, called “The Voice”, “Dad” or “Archangel Mickaël”, to ask the chosen one to act in her favor.
Currently, eleven people are indicted in this drawer file, headed by two investigating judges from Béziers, who seem far from having reached the end of their investigations. Only Gilles d’Ettore, imprisoned in Béziers, and Sophia Martinez, incarcerated in Nîmes, are behind bars, after the release of a regional director of the Eiffage company, after around ten days spent in detention.
