The headliner for this day is apricot and muscat. For hours, visitors will be able to follow the activities, go to the market, participate in the competition and leisure workshops. For the atmosphere, concerts are announced and, for the small hunger, catering.
Traditional in its form, the Apricot Festival, which has existed since 1973, brings together many lovers of this sun-drenched fruit every year. And to appreciate the fruit in a different way than “biting”, you can enjoy it in a glass with apricotade.
Still in the program set up by the Rivesaltes culture and entertainment center, the visitor will attend, with the Babau commandery, the honoring of the Rivesaltes muscat by the dubbing of new members, the competition for the biggest “gobbler” of apricots. He will be able to participate with the local foment in the sardane rounds, in the culinary workshop (chef of the Toques blanches), in the Espa’Mile race. With the Castellers du Riberal, admire the formation of the human pyramids, and at sunset, feet under the table, listen to the concert that will be given. The very young, but also the older ones, are not forgotten. They will be able to go on the rides of the funfair and catch the pompom, but also practice on the many games made available to them.
