Notice to pâté lovers.
The Breton country pâté of the brand Our regions have talent has been recalled since this Friday due to the presence of listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria responsible for listeriosis.
The batch concerned is 000011309305, GTIN 3564709173221 and consumption deadline set for November 9, 2024, indicates the government site Rappel Conso.
This product was sold from October 8 to 17 in stores Leclerc of the whole of France.
Serious but rare infection
Listeriosis is a serious but rare infection and deadly “in 30 to 40% of cases occurring outside of pregnancy”indicates the Pasteur Institute. Around 350 cases are recorded each year in mainland France.
“In adults, the disease results in an infection of the blood (sepsis), or even of the central nervous system, which then manifests itself mainly as meningoencephalitis (i.e. an infection of the meninges and brain ).
