The elected officials of Marne vote on a motion against the will of the State to take back 10 million euros from them

This Friday in Châlons, elected officials adopted a motion against the State’s project aimed at making 5 billion savings in community budgets, including 10 million to the detriment of the Department of Marne.

Saturday in our columns, Jean-Marc Roze had already described this device as“unfair and disproportionate”. He said it again this Friday: “It is not up to us to be responsible for the State’s debt: it is not up to communities to pay for the mistakes that were made. »

Refusals and requests

Through this motion, the community “totally opposes” to the dry regime that the State wants to impose on it: in addition to the drain of 10 million, these are measures lowering the share of VAT that the community receives. The motion also acts “refusal” any new expenses “unfunded”.

On the other hand, she calls for several measures, notably tax ones. And asks, finally, that the State safeguard fund (which keeps the most fragile Departments afloat) increases from 37 million to 163 million, “to take into account the significant increase in the number of Departments in difficulty”.
