Sexual assault and child pornography: victims sought

The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is looking for potential victims of an individual accused in particular of sexual assault and possession, distribution and production of child pornography against several victims of minor age.

Michaël Michaud, 41, was arrested on July 3. The events with which he is accused allegedly took place between 2011 and 2023 in Montreal, , Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Île-Perrot, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Saint-Clet and Saint-Polycarpe.

The investigation teams from the Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Assault sections of the SPVM have strong reason to believe that Michaël Michaud could have caused other victims.

The investigation revealed that the latter would have been in contact with several children over the years. He reportedly befriended families with young children, offering them babysitting or mentoring services. It was when he was alone with the children that he allegedly committed acts of a sexual nature.

Michaël Michaud is a white-skinned man, aged 41 and speaks French. He is 1.78 m tall and weighs 100 kg. He has brown hair, dark eyes and wears vision glasses.
