In an unprecedented verbal escalation, the Alliance for the Republic (APR) strongly criticized Aminata Touré, former ally of Macky Sall, in response to her recent statements against the Senegalese president. Aminata Touré, who did not hesitate to describe the head of state as “responsible for the death of 80 people”, today finds herself at the center of attacks from the ruling party. In a press release sent to SeneNews, APR executives castigated what they consider to be outrageous and irresponsible behavior.

“This hysterical lady dared to call President Sall a murderer of our children,” insists the text, portraying Aminata Touré as a figure disconnected from reality. The party does not mince its words and points out what it describes as hallucinations of the former Prime Minister, accusing him of forgetting the evidence concerning her. “She had the nerve to declare: “Macky Sall, when he comes, he will have to answer for these 80 deaths”. Ah good? » says the press release ironically, recalling that the dissident senator would have made unfounded accusatory remarks.

The APR also returns to past statements by Aminata Touré, who had, according to them, insinuated that Ousmane Sonko was seeking to destabilize Senegal, at a time when the country was discussing its oil and gas resources. “The Senegalese have not forgotten that it was Aminata Touré, with the information obtained through her functions as Keeper of the Seals and Prime Minister, who affirmed that Sonko was seeking to destabilize the country,” mentions the press release.
