The accident occurred early this Sunday, October 20, west of Rennes.
Around 5:45 a.m., a car with five people on board rolled several times at a place called “La Petite Banquette” in the town of Saint-Onen-La-Chapelle.
When emergency services arrived, an 18-year-old young man was in cardio-respiratory arrest and died on the spot.
The accident left four other victims, including two seriously injured.
A young man of 17 and a young woman of 18 were transported in absolute emergency to Pontchaillou hospital in Rennes, as was one of the front passengers, a 38-year-old woman, in relative emergency.
Another 30-year-old woman, also in relative emergency, was evacuated to Saint-Grégoire hospital.
18 firefighters went to the site to organize rescue services.
