The National meeting between FC Villefranche Beaujolais and FC Rouen was punctuated by racist insults thrown by a spectator during the match. The Caladois club has since communicated while president Philippe Terrier also spoke on the subject in the columns of Le Patriote.

During the FCVB x Rouen match at the Armand Chouffet stadium, a serious and unacceptable racist insult was uttered by a spectator located in the Chouffet Tribune.
The FCVB deplores and firmly condemns his comments and displays its firm desire to ensure that all people with unacceptable behavior in our stadium or within the framework of FCVB activities, which are not in phase with the friendly and family atmosphere of the club, can be punished commensurate with the seriousness of the facts.
Consequently, the perpetrator, who was clearly identified, was summoned by the club management, which reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings.
To conclude, the club would like to sincerely thank the 2,156 other “real” supporters present at Chouffet who brought our team to this first success.
