We risk shiver with pleasure at the royal castle of Cazeneuve. The former residence of King Henri IV and Queen Margot, located on the banks of the Ciron, in Préchac (Gironde), will be transformed for Halloween.
For “the scariest holidays of the year”, the Château de Cazeneuve is planning something quite new in the 13th century part.e century.
The kitchen transformed into a witch’s den
The owners of the place will, in fact, decorate several pieces in Halloween colors.
“The medieval kitchen will become a witch’s den,” reveals Louis de Sabran Pontevès, the owner. In the exhibition of stuffed animals, usually so peaceful, deer and wild boars will rub shoulders with giant spiders and other creatures straight out of the cursed forest. And if we get a little too close to the prison door, we won’t be safe from hearing the last prisoner locked up here in 1536 singing.”
The children are, themselves, invited to come in disguise. Some treats are even planned for them.
