Hanoi (VNA) – Against the backdrop of a slow global economic recovery, the national economy has regained growth dynamics as before the Covid-19 epidemic. Industrial production activities, notably the capital’s manufacturing industry, also flourished.

Thanks to positive market signals, companies in the capital continue to take advantage of opportunities to accelerate and achieve the highest production and business targets this year.

Deputy Director of the Municipal Department of Industry and Commerce Nguyen Dinh Thang said that in the first 9 months of 2024, the industrial production index increased by 5.4% compared to the same period of 2023, including the manufacturing industry up 4.0%. 8%.

The product consumption index of the entire manufacturing industry also increased by 9.9% year-on-year. Thanks to this, the index of its stocks is estimated to have decreased by 2.3% as of September 30 over one year.

Ho Guom Clothing Joint Stock Company General Manager Phi Ngoc Trinh said the company has many orders and is taking advantage of market opportunities to expand its customer base and increase its revenue. The revenue target of 1,000 billion VND in 2024 will definitely be achieved.

According to Nguyen Dinh Thang, in order to promote the growth of industrial production, the city strives to ensure that 100 percent of enterprises producing key industrial products benefit from the city’s supporting policies.

The city also implements credit interest rate policies for priority sectors, focuses on improving the investment and business environment, eliminating bottlenecks and difficulties, continues to help enterprises to improve their production capacity and increase their rate of products manufactured in the country, closely monitor developments in the global economy, support associations and enterprises to exploit and promote traditional markets and expand new markets potential, promote propaganda on free trade agreements, innovate and improve the effectiveness of trade promotion activities. -VNA
