Huawei strengthens its commitment to the energy transition

Huawei, world leader in digital energy solutions, was one of the main sponsors of the fourth edition of the World Power-to-X Summit which was held in Marrakech on October 8 and 9, 2024. Placed under the High Patronage of Huawei Majesty King Mohammed VI, this major summit took place under the theme “Expanding the horizon of Power-to-X with the Morocco Offer: Together for a clean and sustainable future”. This year, the summit particularly highlighted “The Morocco Offer”, positioning the Kingdom as a key player in the transition to a sustainable economy, with green hydrogen at its heart.

Organized by the Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), in collaboration with the Green H2 Cluster, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the Moroccan Sustainable Energy Agency (of the masses), under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco, this prestigious event brought together experts, industrialists and policy makers to discuss technological innovations and development opportunities in the field of Power -to-X (PtX).

Building on the success of the previous edition, the World Power-to-X Summit 2024 brought together more than 1,150 participants from over 35 countries, representing various sectors, with renowned speakers, high-level discussion sessions and fruitful bilateral meetings.

For Huawei, this participation highlighted the company’s commitment to pushing the frontiers of energy innovation, serving the population and economic development of Morocco. In its stand, the company presented its latest advances in the field of smart energy solutions, with a particular focus on digital technologies and their role in decarbonization.

Ahmed Rouizem, Technical Director of the Smart PV activity of Huawei Northern Africa (North, West and Central Africa), welcomed the success of this major initiative and declared to this effect: “Our participation at the World Power-to-X Summit reflects our commitment to supporting the transition to clean and sustainable energy.
