Free exhibition in : entirely dedicated to arts and crafts, the Collection gallery reveals 12 new creators

In 2006, the professional union Ateliers d’Art de created, in , a gallery entirely dedicated to contemporary art professions and their exceptional talents. Called “Collection”, this unique place highlights each year the work of a dozen artists in the field, established or promising young talents. Nestled since 2020 on the second floor of the EMPREINTES concept store, this refined space, bathed in light, celebrates the diversity of approaches, techniques, materials under its glass roofs and offers unique pieces, all made in France.

The wonders of fauna and flora

The personalities selected for this “season” (from September 2024 to July 2025) work with ceramics, metal, paper, textiles, fibers, lacquer… All demonstrate a perfect mastery of traditional know-how, while offering ultra-contemporary pieces. Whether it is the materials used or the themes covered, nature is very present. Through the magic of paper, Jean-Michel Letellier imagines dreamlike landscapes, on the borders of abstraction.

Sandrine Beaudun’s compositions, which combine paper fibers and tree leaves, are moving by the expressiveness that the textured material gives to her skies and forests. Cécile Fouillade’s fascinating objects, whose surface appears to be covered with fur, are inspired by her travels to Antarctica. For her part, Élodie Famel reappropriates the practice of lacquer, which she applies to two or three-dimensional creations celebrating the wonders of fauna and flora.

Reinventing traditional forms

Guillaume Millot offers large hypnotic landscapes woven in wool and Muriel Maire, marked by the influence of the primitive arts collected by her father, mixes driftwood, hemp, cardboard and cotton threads to construct compositions that are both geometric and intuitive. Sylvie Guyomard surprises with the unusual – and ultimately very poetic – association of mother-of-pearl and oxidized sheet metal. With Andrea Vaggione, steel becomes light, airy, almost ghostly in suspended works that look like mobiles.

Ceramic lovers will discover the immaculate white openwork porcelain of Juliette Vivien, who uses traditional shapes to better reinvent them. Anne Lesca intrigues with pieces at the crossroads of object, sculpture and installation, bringing sandstone into dialogue with wood, bronze or textile.

A hymn to the beauty of materials

Every two months, the Collection gallery offers exhibitions spotlighting two artists in particular. Ceramist Linda Ouhbi and textile designer Kanaé Briandet open the show, until November 16. Each in its own way plays with our perception. Presented alone or in duos, Linda Ouhbi’s meditative enameled sandstone sculptures could be made of metal…

As for Kanaé Briandet, born and trained in Japan, her universe – textile creations, monumental jewelry, wall sculptures, etc. – is a hymn to the beauty of materials, between paper fibers, silk cocoons and weaving with gold thread. Whether you are a collector, art enthusiast or simply curious in search of original and unique pieces, visit the Collection gallery, the only one in France to be exclusively dedicated to contemporary art crafts. Surprises and amazement guaranteed!
