“It’s both exciting, but it’s also very stressful because we don’t really know where we’re going,” laughs Stéphanie, co-organizer of Festiverde. In a few days, the inhabitants of Clisson (and beyond), in -Atlantique, will embark on a journey to the heart of plants. On the program for the first edition of the festival:

  • walks to meet plants
  • round tables led by experts
  • wacky and sensitive concerts
  • screening of the film “Le Chêne”, by Laurent Charbonnier and Michel Seydoux, César 2023 for best documentary film
  • art exhibitions
  • intergenerational participatory workshops
  • live shows

“Basically, it’s a shared idea between Gaëlle, Niels and myself. Since then, around twenty of us have been working on this project which is taking shape,” continues Stéphanie. According to her, the Festiverde will be aimed at all audiences in order to raise awareness of the importance of plants in lives and cities. “For me, the idea is also to get the public to question themselves,” she explains.

On the other hand, there is a big question mark over festival attendance for this first edition of Festiverde, which has been preparing since March 2024.
