Safety work against natural risks will be undertaken on departmental road 1005, in Meillerie, in particular after a tree threatened to fall on the track, Tuesday October 8, following bad weather. To prevent the situation from recurring, the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council wishes to clean the sectors concerned and install protective screens against falling elements. The cost of this work amounts to €150,000.
Several sectors will therefore see their traffic restricted in the coming days: it will be interrupted in the “SNCF-Lugrin Tunnel” sector from October 21 to 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., subject to favorable weather conditions. A diversion will be put in place, passing through Neuvecelle, the Abondance valley following Chevenoz, Vacheresse, Châtel, the Morgins pass and the Rhône plain, in Switzerland.
Another sector concerned, Effeuillasses-Meillerie: traffic will be alternating, from October 21 to 31. The Departmental Council details that it will be “punctually interrupted for periods of 15 minutes maximum”.
