Accompanied by the sub-prefect of Alès, Émile Soumbo, a Population Protection agent toured the sixteen bodegas to check the hygienic conditions of what is sold. Of the ten already visited, the state agent had only had to make recommendations to one association. Another bodega might not open at all.

Protected by a suit, Yannick Vauthier, from Population Protection, tours the sixteen bodegas authorized by the City. With a keen eye on expiry dates, but above all respecting the hot and cold chains.

“Upstream, preparatory meetings with the associations outlined the instructions”, confides Yannick Vauthier. Which does not prevent a bodega on Place Barbusse from being refused authorization to open in the morning, confided the mayor’s deputy chief of staff, Marian Mirabello.

“Since this morning, at 10:30 a.m., around ten bodegas and one sedentary establishment have been checked”, confided Yannick Vauthier in the middle of the afternoon. Only one presented “no good hygiene practices”. Fifteen kilos of ground steak ended up in the dumpster. For the well-being of the intestinal flora of partygoers…
