The Théâtre du Jura (TDJ) bar is transformed into a concert café. The current music scene (SMAC) of the Delémont Regional Cultural Center offers seven evenings between October 10 and May 15. After a concert organized in the spring in the bar area, the entity – already mandated for the musical programming of the TDJ since the opening of the cultural institution three years ago – wanted to develop the concept whose programming was presented this Thursday. SMAC has set up a small stage of seven square meters in the corner of the bar, also called the foyer. It aims for an intimate atmosphere between the artists and the public. “It will be a bit of a café-concert style,” says Fabrice Burrus, one of the programmers. It is also about revitalizing the place managed for almost two years by the TDJ. “The location lends itself to this type of event,” he adds.

A wide range of music

Emerging French artists Nina Versyp and Grégoire Jokic will be the first to take the stage at the TDJ bar on October 10. The artists from the Bernese Jura Simon Gerber and Sophie Noir, the Zurich artist Pina Palau and the Quebecois Bonanza and Emile Bourgault will subsequently tread the boards of Lémont. And then the Jura group Léo & Amix will close this series of concerts on May 15, 2025.

“We really wanted to have something very diverse,” underlines David Caillet, also a programmer within SMAC. Note that entry to concerts costs ten francs. /nmy
