To close the sparkling Fashion Week, which has made the French capital vibrate since Monday September 23, and to celebrate the launch of the Festival de la francophonie, a fashion show bringing together around twenty French-speaking designers from five continents took place. held this Tuesday, October 1 at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris (IIIe arr.).

For this international fashion show, 19 French-speaking designers competed in inventiveness and creativity – Festival de la francophonie

This unique fashion show sets the stage for the Festival de la Francophonie (initiated by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs), which takes place from October 2 to 6, notably in Paris and Villers-Cotterêts, a famous town. A unique French-speaking fashion show

This 2024 edition was style-led by the Ivorian-Senegalese artistic director Jenke Ahmed Tailly – who signed the SS25 campaign for the Tranoï show -, and sponsored by three prestigious ambassadors: the actress and poet Joana Preiss, the author-composer New native Nicole Slack Jones and Parisian rapper, writer and filmmaker Abd Al Malik.

This unique fashion show celebrating the richness and plurality of French-speaking fashion brings together 19 fashion designers such as the Frenchman Louis-Gabriel Nouchi (ANDAM Grand Prix 2023), the Swiss Kévin Germanier, the Belgian Meryll Rogge (winner of the LVMH Prize) , the Canadian Marie-Ève ​​Lecavalier, the Moroccan Sophia Kacimi (the creator of Zoubida), the Malian Lamine Badian Kouyaté (founder of the Xuly Bet label) and the Ivorian designer Lafalaise Dion.

These designers, who presented their creations on the theme of “textile material heritage”, were selected by a jury of international experts including Serge Carreira, the Emerging Brands Initiative director of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. (FHCM), Maryline Bellieud-Vigouroux the founder of Maison Mode Méditerranée, Jina Luciani the president of the Maison Mode Méditerranée endowment fund and Khanyi Mashimbye the head of Afreximbank for the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) in Egypt.
