Around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, a car and a truck collided, at the corner between Chemin de Chez Gâtin and the D57 departmental road, in the commune of Sorinières, south of Nantes. The departmental fire and rescue operational center (Codis) of Loire-Atlantique speaks of a “lateral shock”.
Motorist transported to hospital, driver left behind
The report shows one minor injury. This is the motorist, aged 49 years old according to the emergency services who had to extricate the victim, before transporting him to the Nantes University Hospital. The driver of the heavy goods vehicle, aged 59 according to the firefighters, is safe. The man was examined on site, without any hospitalization being required for him.
The circumstances of the collision, which did not result in any oil leaking onto the roadway, are not known. The intervention mobilized 9 firefighters. The police were also on site.
