The Ari Boulogne affair, unrecognized son of Alain Delon, experienced a new twist on May 17, 2024.
The body of Ari Boulogne, whom Alain Delon never wanted to recognize, was found on May 20, 2023 at his Parisian home. On Friday July 21, our colleagues at Libération revealed that he had been buried in secret on July 18, far from any media coverage.
Aged 60, the photographer had suffered from hemiplegia for several years (paralysis of certain parts of the body). He had made several stays in psychiatric hospital and in detoxification treatment. According to his neighbors, he used significant quantities of drugs.
“Closet Child”
He had always claimed to be the son of the actor Alain Delon and Nico, model and singer of the group The Velvet Underground. Raised by Alain Delon’s mother, Ari Boulogne had to play the role of “closet child” for years before finding his mother Nico and following her on her tours.
Almost a year after his death, his daughter, Blanche Boulogne, has just initiated legal action to have Alain Delon’s DNA taken for a paternity test. His lawyer, Me Saskia Ditisheim, confirmed to AFP:having filed the request for superprovisional measures“.
The Geneva Civil Court of First Instance will have to rule in the near future, according to Blanche Boulogne’s lawyer.
“You are not my son, you will never be my son”
Alain Delon never recognized Ari Boulogne. He had sent a request for paternity to the actor examined in 2019 by the French courts but the case was referred to Switzerland in 2021.
Asked by Mireille Dumas in April 2001 about the relationship he had with his father, Ari Boulogne mentioned a time when the actor took him home by car: “He (Alain Delon) tapped me on the shoulder and said: “You’re my friend, you’re my friend. I’m going to say something, my little guy: you don’t have my eyes, you you don’t have my hair, you’re not my son, you’ll never be my son“, affirmed the photographer on the set of Private life public life.
