Samara attack: “It’s not a speech I can hear”, the teenager’s mother “shocked” after the administrative investigation

On April 2, 2024, Samara, a 13-year-old girl from Arthur Rimbaud college in Montpellier, was violently attacked by other students. His mother says she is outraged by the administrative investigation which concluded that there was no “situation of school harassment”.

This Tuesday, April 30, the administrative investigation carried out by National Education concluded that there was no “situation of school harassment” against Samara, who was violently attacked in front of the Arthur Rimbaud college in Montpellier by other students.

The teenager’s mother reacted for the first time to the microphone of RTL. “It shocks me. They felt that there was no responsibility. What was put in place to ensure that my daughter was protected? For me, not much”she believes.

“No culpable failure on the part of the establishment’s staff”

In fact, the administrative investigation did not reveal any “school bullying situation” against the young girl. “At the end of its investigations, and concerning the treatment of Samara on April 2, the mission did not note any culpable failure on the part of the staff of the establishment and cannot objectively establish a situation of school harassment at against Samara”it is written in a summary of the administrative investigation, published by the Ministry of Education.

A conclusion which displeased the mother of the teenager who was severely beaten on April 2: “They believe that there was no negligence. It disturbs me. It is not a speech that I can listen to. I have the impression that there should be no vague“, she blurted.

She also takes the opportunity to give news of her daughter. “At the moment, she is not well psychologically. The fact that she is at home, that there is no school, it is a double punishment for her”she concludes.

Samara was attacked on April 2 in front of her college in Montpellier by several students. The attack was so violent that it left her in a coma for more than a day. Her mother blamed the college’s lack of responsiveness, provoking anger and a strike among teachers who also considered themselves insufficiently supported by the minister.
