Paris 2024 Olympic Games: transport, shops, tourism… the State is strengthening its anti-fraud controls in Seine-et-Marne

Major event of the year 2024, the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will take place partly in Seine-et-Marne, which will host the rowing and canoeing events at the Vaires-sur-Marne nautical stadium.

As part of the securing the competition, 55 control operations have already been carried out, including 34 in the communities bordering the Olympic site and 21 carried out in train stations.

Transport, catering and security

“In partnership with the Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for the Environment, Planning and Transport (Drieat), 44 VTCs were checked For two arrests for driving despite cancellation of the driving license and operating a passenger transport vehicle without entry in the register,” specifies the prefecture.

The latter intends to continue its concerted control operations in the sector of haulage“taking into account the demonstrated effectiveness of previous operations”.

The Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor and Solidarity (DDETS) is particularly involved in the subject. In addition to its contribution to the regional Olympic and JP control group created by the Regional Directorate of the Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity (Drieets), it is considering several actions in partnership with other control bodies.

These will include control operations for: VTC and public transport, carried out with Drieat at the Chessy TGV station; mobile catering activities with Urssaf on the Olympic site and its surroundings; but also sites of activity of security companies on the access control points of the Olympic site and on the two fan zones of Torcy and Chelles.

Tourist attractions

Furthermore, control operations will be organized before and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games around the night establishments and major tourist sites of the department (museums, amusement parks, historical monuments, etc.).
