€152,000 for the HumaNîmes association

Committed to preventing the risks of social exclusion of young people, the Departmental Council is strengthening its support for local support systems in the neighborhoods.

A grant of €152,000 was voted on today by the standing committee. It will allow the Humanimes association to double its team of social mediators as part of the Anim’médiations system. In the districts of Valdegour, Chemin-bas d’ and Pissevin, there are no longer 3 but 6 street mediators who will create the link between youth and institutions. And will operate a crucial field relay.

An action carried out jointly by Ufolep Gard, Humanimes and the Samuel Vincent Association. “More than 8,000 young people met on the squares of middle and high schools in 4 months of activity! », Rejoices Amal Couvreur, vice-president of the Gard Departmental Council, in charge of city policy and instigator of the system.
