“It was really quick in his case. He moved from home to a private residence, then he is now in a CHSLD where he will end his life. My father is no longer very verbal, he is no longer really independent and in terms of memory he has long since forgotten who is who. But he is someone who is still full of gentleness, who is still so pleasant to be around. He is much loved by the attendants and staff. He exudes a lot of good nature,” said Anne-Élisabeth Bossé.

“The illness has taken over so much that it is not always easy to live with. White mourning, that is to say experiencing the mourning of someone while they are alive… They are like plateaus. Sometimes it’s more difficult, sometimes I accept it more. These days, I’m more accepting. Every time he loses it, it seems like I’m falling three steps. It’s always adapting, changing.”
