The reason ? This Wednesday, May 1, firefighters were called upon for an intervention involving a somewhat reckless animal. Firefighters intervened to rescue a lamb stuck in a water pipe, reports Paris-Normandie.
The small mammal found itself trapped in a “250mm rainwater pipe”, according to firefighters. The events took place in Darnétal, near Rouen, in Seine-Maritime.
All’s well that ends well for the lamb
As the regional daily specifies, this unusual rescue operation required eight firefighters and three vehicles. Luckily, the procedure went off without a hitch.
In fact, rescuers managed to capture the young sheep using a lasso. One thing is certain: the animal experienced a great fright.

This story recalls that of this Scottish farmer. Last month, a 26-year-old farmer did not hesitate to crawl into a tunnel to save her lambs from drowning.
“ They stood upright, but the water came up to their necks. If they had stayed in the water longer it would have been serious », Confided the owner of the animals to Le Parisien at the time. Finally, the young woman managed to save her animals after a few minutes. Her heroic gesture was filmed by her fiancé, who shared the video on social media.
