Create your local address database by June 1, 2024! – News

The creation of routes and addresses in France is the responsibility of the municipalities. The 3DS Law has reinforced the municipality as the only Source of official information on the naming of roads and the addressing of its territory.

Up-to-date addresses are the guarantee of seeing your businesses and economic activities well referenced, your residents being helped more quickly, because they are more precisely located. For everyone, it is also a guarantee of access to online public services and optical fiber.

To date, in Eure, 395 municipalities have not started the addressing work, which includes three main stages:

1. Take stock of the situation and identify missing addresses and duplicates, by creating a base for the municipality: create a base for my municipality;
2. Harmonize addresses by completing the database, consulting the population and then deliberating in the Municipal Council: discover good practices
3. Disseminate the base by publishing it, place signs and inform residents and partners to discover the publication methods. To do this, the State provides a free online tool “My Addresses” that can be easily used by everyone.

Webinars are organized every week (Thursday afternoon) to present the tool and support municipalities.
