Fatal accident in Seine-Maritime: a mother killed, a child injured | The Pathfinder

A dramatic accident caused the dead of a housewife aged 37, this Friday May 3, 2024 around 6:45 a.m. in the Pays de Bray at Brémontier-Mervalnext to Gournay-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime). Her 4-year-old child who was in the car was taken to the hospital.

Accident between truck and car leaves one dead

The accident occurred this Friday morning near the intersection with Brémontier Merval near the mobile radar.

A truck carrying 44 tonnes of sand and a car collided in circumstances which remain to be determined.

Unfortunately, a young woman died in the shock. Her child who was traveling with her was transported to the hospital. an important device including a helicopter is still deployed on site.

The driver of the shocked heavy goods vehicle was evacuated and transported to Beauvais.

The road between Forges-les-Eaux and Gournay-en-Bray is closed to traffic. A diversion has been put in place to divert vehicles near Ménerval.

Several trucks from the Fromager company, which specializes in lifting large equipment, are on site to evacuate the truck.

If you must take the road this morning, avoid the area until midday.
