This is the solution found by the government to avoid saturation of the A14 due to the closure of the A13 between Paris and Vaucresson since April 18. The price of the toll, which connects La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine) to Orgeval in Yvelines, will be reduced by 50% for people carpooling, for one week.
An offer valid only for three days
Concretely, from Monday to May 6 to Friday May 10 (excluding the two public holidays), motorists will pay 5.40 euros compared to 10.60 euros usually. A rate which will only be valid between Province/Paris between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and in the Paris/Province direction between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
During this period, the State will take charge of “invoicing light vehicles carrying at least two passengers on the basis not of class 1, but of the rate of class 5 (motorcycle)”.
To take advantage of it, it’s quite simple: motorists will just have to pass on a special lane created for the occasion. It will be recognizable thanks to its green arrow on the ground, reveals France Bleu Paris. To help you on site, SAPN agents (Société des autoroutes Paris-Normandie) will also be on site.
However, it will only be possible to pay by credit card on site. The reopening of the A13 is scheduled for Saturday May 11but only in the Province/Paris direction initially.
