Swiss Post acquires a new Swiss cybersecurity specialist. After Hacknowledge and Terreactive, it is the turn of Open Systems and its SASE solutions and services to join the subsidiary Swiss Post Cybersecurity.

Swiss Post plans to acquire Open Systems by the end of the year. Specializing in network and cybersecurity, the Zurich-based company is known for its SD-WAN and now SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) managed solutions and services for optimizing and securing access to cloud applications.

With this acquisition, Swiss Post intends to further strengthen its cybersecurity offering following the acquisitions of the French-speaking company Hacknowledge in 2022 and the German-speaking company Terreactive in 2023, which now operate as Swiss Post Cybersecurity. “Secure communication is only possible if the sender, receiver and communication channels are protected and organised efficiently. It is therefore essential for us to continue to develop our cybersecurity solutions,” comments Nicole Burth, member of the Group Executive Board and Head of Communication Services.

Founded in 1990, Open Systems employs more than 260 people between its headquarters in Zurich and its subsidiaries in Bern, Düsseldorf and San Francisco. “We have carefully considered the choice of Open Systems’ future partner. For more than 30 years, we have supported companies in their international activities and growth, including Swiss companies that dominate the global market. In Swiss Post, we have found a sustainable partner based in Switzerland who shares our values of trust, reliability, security and customer orientation,” says Daniel Neuhaus, CEO of Open Systems since 2023.
