COn Tuesday and Wednesday, the Realty real estate fair brought together more than 2,000 visitors at the Brussels Maritime Station, including policy makers, investors, academics and many real estate professionals from Belgium and abroad. This small group was able to discuss the challenges of the sector during moments of networkingbut also during no less than 25 conferences.

Three themes were central this year: the future of cities, the “S” of ESG (i.e. the social criterion) and the resilience of real estate in 2024-2025. It is on this last aspect as well as on the specificities and challenges of the Belgian market that The Evening Real Estate spoke with three participants from Realty: Stéphan Sonneville, CEO of the development company Atenor and president of Upsi (Professional Union of the Real Estate Sector), Jonathan Frisch, economist specializing in real estate at Immoweb, and Cédric Van Meerbeeck, Head of Real Estate Insights & Valuations at Deloitte.
