The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (the Chamber) has 8,000 members. Its mission is to be the voice of the Montreal business community and to act for the prosperity of the metropolis. It is involved in key sectors of economic development by advocating a philosophy of action focused on commitment, credibility, proactivity, collaboration and avant-gardism. The Chamber also offers a range of specialized services to individuals and businesses of all sizes to support their growth here and internationally.

WHAT IS THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY?

Chef, Talent and Inclusion Experience

Full-time temporary position to be filled immediately

Under the responsibility of the Director, Talents and Diversity, you will ensure, in collaboration with the teams of the Chamber and a major partner, the execution of the EDI approach (equity, diversity and inclusion) of an innovative project in terms of skills enhancement.

More specifically, your tasks will be as follows:

  • See to the definition and implementation of an approach aimed at inclusion in the workplace based on organizational objectives;
  • Establish specific talent support mechanisms;
  • Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary work team from the major partner and the CCMM;
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the different teams related to your mandate;
  • Ensure that each team clearly understands its responsibilities and contributes effectively to common objectives;
  • Develop and maintain partnership relationships with groups and employability specialists;
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of project processes;
  • Monitor the collaboration plan with stakeholders;
  • Identify potential problems related to your mandate and implement appropriate solutions;
  • Establish monitoring mechanisms to assess progress against defined objectives;
  • Establish close relationships with counterparts of the major partner to carry out the mandate.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in the field of EDI, career development, human resources, project management, business administration or a related field;
  • Master’s degree in a field related to the position (an asset);
  • 3 years’ experience in a position related to the function (all other combinations could be considered);
  • Knowledge of the Quebec training ecosystem;
  • Significant experience in managing complex projects in the field of employability;
  • Excellent organizational skills and good ability to manage priorities in a multi-tasking context;
  • Ease of working in digital environments;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of the employability ecosystem (an asset);
  • Good ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships.
