The government decided to file a complaint for “public insult in front of a public official” against Jean-Luc Mélenchon, for having compared the president of the University of to the Nazi dignitary Adolf Eichmann, after the cancellation of the conference he was to hold with the Franco-Palestinian activist and European candidate Rima Hassan. The announcement was made on Sunday evening by the Minister of Higher Education, Sylvie Retailleau, on BFM TV.
