Crossac. Renewable energies: limited areas

The acceleration zones for the implementation of land-based renewable energy production (ZAEnR) were presented to elected officials during the last municipal council.

No identified area for methanization, as well as for ground-mounted photovoltaic solar. If there are volunteers for agrivoltaism, they should know that this would be subject to the opinion of the Brière Regional Natural Park and that the municipality wants to protect the land for farmers. warns the mayor.

Regarding photovoltaics on roofs, the entire municipality is likely to accommodate them, which could represent a third of the existing roofing surfaces. The production potential is 3.4 GWh/year. For photovoltaics in shade houses, several potential locations have already been identified, for a production of 1.8 GWh/year: parking lots of the old cemetery, Grées, Petits-Matelots, Brière, the landscaped cemetery and Blanchot.

Solar thermal concerns all buildings in the municipality with an assumption of one third of the existing roofing surfaces, for a production potential of 1.3 GWh/year.

Regarding biomass wood energy, it is difficult to target specific locations within the municipality’s territory. The production potential of an FSC wood sector from local trees/forests represents 0.8 GWH/year,” explains Olivier Demarty.

Wind: only one location

For wind power, a single location has been identified in the Gagnerie du Vieux-Moulin sector for two medium-sized masts. This is of little interest to producers but there is a possibility for an associative/collective project,”comments the mayor.

Finally, in geothermal energy, the BETEG project, impasse des Petits-Matelots, is underway for a production of 0.2 GWh/year. It concerns the library, the family leisure room and the sports hall in particular.

The maps will be displayed in the town hall and on the municipality’s website. A notebook will be made available to the population to collect their comments and possible suggestions. Three weeks of consultation were approved by elected officials.
