K-pop strikes again! The Spanish luxury house Loewe has unveiled the name of its latest global ambassador: South Korean singer Taeyong. Obviously for the 27-year-old rapper who is adored both for his songs and for his sense of fashion. For several years, the latter has often been seen walking in fashion shows and other events, sometimes dressed in pieces by Jonathan Anderson, the artistic director of Loewe.
“I am delighted to welcome Taeyong to the Loewe family. He has a special connection with the brand because he has admired and worn our creations for a long time. We love its distinctive style. Thanks to the many talents of Taeyong […] I can’t wait to see what this collaboration will bring,” says the Irish designer. For his part, the brand’s new colt also spoke to praise this new chapter he is starting with Loewe: “It’s an honor to be Loewe’s global ambassador. Not only is the design of the brand exceptional, but its philosophy as well. The way of thinking and communicating are unique. I really appreciate the opportunity to join this journey with Loewe .”
Particularly popular and more and more in the world of fashion, the K-pop artist does not however wish to abandon his musical career. On June 5, Taeyong notably unveiled his first solo album, Shalala.
