“Your game on ”: it is under this slogan that “Matinik Quizz”, the new game show from Martinique La 1ère, invites you to discover a little more about the island every day. The show features two candidates who compete in a three-round quiz devoted to Martinican culture, history and heritage.

From Monday to Friday, immerse yourself in the world of “Matinik Quiz”, a 15-minute show where candidates test their knowledge of Martinique!

The challenge is simple: stay in competition throughout the month to win the final reward of €1000. The prizes are exceptional prizes: a trip, a stay in a luxury villa, games created by the historian Sabine Andrivon-Miltonincluding an exclusive quiz on Martinique, and many other surprises that will help you discover Martinique in a new light.

The show gets off to a flying start: each candidate chooses a theme for the first two rounds. They draw on a range of subjects such as geography, culture, and even Martinican traditions. The last round has a surprise in store with a set theme, different every day, to add an additional challenge.

After each answer, historian Sabine Andrivon-Milton intervenes to provide explanations and anecdotes. The candidate who accumulates the most points at the end of three rounds wins and returns the next day to defend his title against a new challenger.

There are candidates to whom we will ask 8 questions based on 3 themes, we will really outline what makes Martinique so rich. And from that, we can play on set, but also at home. We hope that this game will bring families together and that children will come.

I learn something every day! You have to have an open mind, tell yourself that you don’t know everything about everything and that’s what enriches you. For example, I’m a fan of Creole and Martinican proverbs, and there are some that I understand today even though they didn’t make sense to me at the time.
