UTL 32 offers a new cycle on the history of art, exploring the role of women in artistic creation.

UTL 32 “Les Savoirs Partagés” launches its second series of conferences on the history of art on Friday January 10. For this edition which takes place in , the new cycle will look at the world of art and the place of women in society.

Symbolic models, physical models: “the objective is to look beyond the simple observation of a very long absence of women in general artistic creation”, explains Charlotte de Malet, graduate of the École du Louvre, speaker national museums which will intervene.

The cross-sectional theme will allow you to explore the general history of art in the West, from prehistory to the most contemporary world. The conferences take place at 2:30 p.m. on Fridays January 10, 17, 24, 31 as well as February 7 and 14.

The first course, entitled “Angel and Demon”, will look at the symbolic dimension which is evoked when it comes to the place of women in art.
